Event Terms & Conditions
UPDATED AS OF 6 JANUARY 2026
These Event Terms & Conditions (Terms) govern the purchase of tickets for, and attendance at, events hosted by Curated Women.
We invite you to read these Terms carefully before purchasing a ticket. By purchasing a ticket and attending an Event, you agree to be bound by these Terms. The most current version of these Terms will always be available on our website, and we may update them from time to time.
Throughout these Terms, “Curated Women”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Curated Women and its associated entities. “You” refers to the individual purchasing a ticket or attending an Event.
1. Tickets & Booking
1.1 Details of upcoming Events and ticket prices are available on our website.
1.2 Any applicable booking or credit card surcharge fees will be clearly disclosed at the time of purchase.
1.3 Tickets may be purchased exclusively via our website.
1.4 Your booking is confirmed once you receive an email confirmation from Curated Women. We maintain a list of confirmed and paid attendees for each Event, and entry may be granted upon presentation of identification or your email confirmation.
2. Attendance & Conduct
2.1 Curated Women Events are intentionally curated spaces. By attending, you agree to engage in a respectful, considerate and appropriate manner that honours the integrity of the experience and the people within it.
2.2 We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or require the departure of, any attendee whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with the intention of the Event, without refund.
2.3 Curated Women Events are intentionally guided by a Community Agreement that outlines shared expectations for presence, participation and conduct. By purchasing a ticket and attending an Event, you acknowledge and agree to engage in accordance with the Community Agreement, as published on our website or communicated to you prior to the Event.
Where behaviour is inconsistent with the Community Agreement or these Terms, we reserve the right to take appropriate action, including refusal of entry or removal from an Event without refund.
3. Photography & Recording
3.1 For some Events, the use of cameras, audio recording, or video recording devices may not be permitted. Where applicable, this will be communicated prior to or at the Event. You must not photograph, film or record other attendees without their express consent.
3.2 Events may be photographed or filmed. By attending, you consent to Curated Women capturing and using your name, likeness, image and/or voice in photographs or recordings for promotional and marketing purposes across our platforms, without compensation.
If you would prefer that your image, likeness or voice not be used, please notify us by emailing hello@thecuratedwomen.com prior to the Event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, however we cannot guarantee exclusion from incidental or background capture.
4. Transfers, Refunds & Credits
4.1 All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable except as expressly outlined in these Terms.
For clarity, refunds will not be provided if:
you are unable to attend;
you arrive late or are refused entry; or
you did not enjoy the Event.
4.2 Tickets may be transferred to another person, provided that:
the request is submitted in writing to hello@thecuratedwomen.com;
the replacement guest’s name and email address are provided; and
the request is received no later than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the Event. We reserve the right to refuse entry where a transfer has not been completed in accordance with this process.
5. Event Changes, Postponement & Cancellation
5.1 Occasionally, Events may be cancelled, varied, rescheduled or postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, including Force Majeure Events or factors affecting speakers, venues or suppliers.
5.2 If an Event is postponed:
you may notify us in writing within thirty (30) days of the original Event date to receive a credit for the ticket price, valid for twelve (12) months; or
if no notification is received, your ticket will automatically transfer to the rescheduled date.
5.3 If an Event is cancelled and a new date is not announced within sixty (60) days:
where cancellation is due to a Force Majeure Event, a credit will be issued (no refunds); or
where cancellation is for any other reason, you may elect to receive a refund of the ticket price (excluding booking and credit card fees) by notifying us in writing within thirty (30) days of the originally scheduled Event date. If no notification is received, a credit will be issued.
5.4 We will make reasonable efforts to notify ticket holders of cancellations, variations, rescheduling or postponement via email and our website. However, responsibility for checking Event status remains with you.
5.5 Credits must be used within twelve (12) months of the originally scheduled Event date. Unused credits will be forfeited.
6. Liability & Risk
6.1 Attendance at Events is voluntary and at your own risk. You acknowledge that participation may involve inherent risks, including personal injury, illness, loss, or damage.
6.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Curated Women, its directors, employees, contractors, facilitators, agents and representatives from any claims, demands, losses, damages, costs or expenses arising out of or in connection with your attendance at, or participation in, an Event, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
6.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantees or rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6.4 Where our liability cannot be excluded, our liability is limited (at our option) to:
the supply of the relevant services again; or
the payment of the cost of having the services supplied again,
and in any event will not exceed the face value of the ticket purchased, plus any applicable booking fees.
6.5 You agree to indemnify Curated Women against any loss, liability, damage or expense suffered or incurred as a result of your conduct at an Event, including any breach of these Terms or the Community Agreement.
6.6 Curated Women is not responsible for the conduct or actions of other attendees before, during, or after an Event. We encourage you to notify event hosts if behaviour causes concern so it can be appropriately addressed.
6.7 We may refuse entry to, or remove, any attendee whose behaviour poses a risk to the safety, wellbeing, or experience of others, without refund.
6.8 We are excused from performance of our obligations under these Terms to the extent affected by a Force Majeure Event.
7. General
7.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
7.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
7.3 Any failure to enforce a right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
7.4 A Force Majeure Event includes, but is not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics or pandemics, government restrictions or recommendations, industrial disputes, extreme weather, transport disruption, supplier failure, or any event beyond our reasonable control.
7.5 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Curated Women in relation to Events.
